Sensible Heat and Netstreams DigiLinx - integration completed! (1/6/2007)

Stand G20, CEDIA UK Expo 2007

Sensible Heat are delighted to announce the completion of the integration process, announced last year, between the Netstreams DigiLinx audio/visual touchscreen control system, and Sensible Heat's Honeywell Hometronic HVAC control system.

Now it is possible to view and adjust room temperatures, turn on and off towel rails, hot water service, and set whole-house HVAC "Lifestyles", all from a DigiLinx touchscreen. A standard software "driver" and new UK-styled HVAC screens have been created by Netstreams UK distributor InVision UK, which allow any Netstreams dealer to integrate with a Hometronic system very simply, with no bespoke programming. This new driver joins the existing AMX driver as a fully manufacturersupported link to a 3rd party touchscreen control system for Hometronic.

The link between Hometronic and these systems is achieved using the Sensible Heat Web Interface; this device allows any IP-enabled 3rd party systems to integrate with Hometronic, and also provides a standalone web interface for the Hometronic system. Simple HTML pages are served from the embedded web server to any browser, allowing control of the HVAC system from a local PC, or from the internet.
