Bring real-life closer with LG's new 1080P Full HD LCD TVs (17/5/2007)

LG Electronics (LG), a world leader in consumer electronics, today unveils its first 1080P Full HD LCD TV range. The LY95 and LF66 TVs produce sound and images so lifelike the experience borders on reality, transporting viewers from their living room into the scenes of their favourite movies, sports and games.

Ben Keen, chief analyst, Screen Digest comments, "the growing availability of high definition video disc players and games consoles will stimulate consumer interest in taking advantage of the breathtaking picture quality possible with 1080P Full HD displays. We are forecasting that more than 81m Western European households will have purchased an HD flat TV by 2010 - almost 50% of all TV households in the region. This is a staggering rate of growth. "

The top of the range 1080P LY95 and LF66 series are both available in 37", 42" and 47" with the 52" model coming in September. Both series are ideal for consumers who desire the ultimate large screen 1080P Full HD experience.

The two 1080P Full HD LCD families combine a sexy gloss black finish with an award winning[iii] blade thin design for premium styling that ensures the TVs bring elegance to the home, even when switched off. The sleek design, breathtaking colours and rich sound ensure the TVs takes centre stage in the home.

LY95 Series

* Wide Color Gamut, providing 120 per cent more colours than standard PAL TV signal, making skin tones appear truly lifelike * Discretely encased dimple speakers within the ultra-slim design to provide sleek sophistication without compromising on rich, powerful sound * TruV Viewing Angle providing smooth, even picture contrast at extreme viewing angles of up to 178 degrees * XD Engine Full HD - 1:1 Pixel Matching on the full HD TVs * LG Simple Link enabling consumers to control all LG compatible equipment such as DVD recorders and home cinema systems from a single remote control * LG Eye Intelligent System (EIS), automatically adjusting the picture to the light conditions in a room, producing the optimum picture quality and power saving within any environment

LF66 Series

* The LF66 includes all features of the LY95 except Wide Colour Gamut and encased speakers

LC55 Series

* Designed for visual perfection, high gloss piano black (26" Matt finish) * Available in three screen sizes: 26-, 32- (LC56), 37- and 42-inch * Contrast ratio of 5000:1 (26-inch 800:1), giving crisper images against darker backgrounds * An XD engine image enhancing processor upscales the picture to cinema-like quality * Two HDMI connectons for the convenience of a single cable to connect to HD components

LC46 Series

* Available in a wide-range of screen sizes: 26-, 32-, 37- and 42-inch * Identical specs to the LC55
