LG launches dedicated consumer electronics training team (4/5/2007)

LG Electronics (LG), a world leader in consumer electronics, today officially launches its consumer electronics training team. The team of eight will be on hand to provide individual support and training to retail partners across the UK on the features and benefits of LG's products, including LCDs, plasmas and audio visual equipment.

The new team will be out in full force at the LG dealer trade show, taking place on 2nd May at The Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London. The trade show will provide retail partners an in-depth preview of LG's entire 2007 brown goods product range, including the company's first families of large screen 1080P Full HD LCD and Plasma TVs.

"Due to the fast paced nature of new and emerging technologies and standards such as Full HD, HD-Ready and Blu-ray, we recognise that education is key to helping consumers make the right choices for their personal requirements," comments James Atkins, marketing manager, LG Electronics. "With this in mind, we have set up a dedicated training team to ensure that our retail partners are equipped with support whenever they need it."

Through specially tailored training packages, the consumer electronics training team will educate retail partner store staff, including multiples and independents, to help them fully understand LG's product features and benefits. In addition the team will be LG 'ambassadors' at retail store level, helping to promote and support the LG brand using cost-effective, self sufficient training campaigns and manuals.

Dave Cottrell, technical and training manager of LG Electronics says, "The team is currently gearing up for LG's launch of 1080P Full HD, a standard that can be confusing for consumers. We want to make sure retailers are equipped with the knowledge they need to benefit from this huge growth area. As part of this we are embarking upon a nationwide training roadshow for independent dealers, to ensure that all retailers have the support they need."
