News Onkyo is back at AWE (2/5/2007) Onkyo, the premium brand manufacturer for home cinema and hi-fi AV products has appointed AWE, the top AV equipment distributor to the UK CI trade, as premier distributor for its custom install range of products into the fast-growing residential CI market. "AWE was the obvious CI distributor choice for Onkyo UK given their wealth of experience with the Onkyo Brand and its CI customers" says David Anderson, UK General Manager at Onkyo. "We consider AWE a valuable partner to deliver the enhanced level of support the CI sector rightly demands. As one of the fastest growing AV Brand's in the UK we are highly motivated by our collaboration with AWE to realise the full CI potential of Onkyo's ultra competitive line up in 2007 and beyond." "We are delighted to be able to offer Onkyo products to our customers. It is great kit and, due to Onkyo's solid dealer strategy, we are able to assure excellent retained margin for our dealers" says Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. "In addition to this, we are offering the range as 'custom install only status' products which are exclusively available to dealers verified for custom install. This will ensure the highest quality of product and service to the end user and strengthen our 'CI only' portfolio." The Onkyo TX-SR804e AV receiver forms part of the Onkyo range now available from AWE. This high end 7.1 receiver has many CI friendly features and superb sound quality with Onkyo amplification and tuning. Each of the seven channels will deliver 170w whilst the supplied microphone and auto setting will equalise the channels for optimum response in any room at the touch of a button. The audio processing can cope with all current Dolby and DTS 5.1 - 7.1 formats, plus the THX Select2 modes enhances movie and music.
