Lutron launches new wireless technology at CEDIA Expo (26/4/2007)

Lutron Electronics Co. Inc., world leader in lighting control, will not only be showing its full range of lighting control expertise at CEDIA expo this year, but also launching its new wireless technology.

At present under wraps, the new technology will allow Lutron to offer domestic users a viable wireless version of their state-of-the-art lighting control technology. In addition to this, the company's renowned HomeWorks and GRAFIK Eye systems will also be on display, alongside a range of Lutron technologies that will show visitors the world's that can be created by controlling light in domestic and commercial settings.

Apart from the new wireless technology, Lutron will be showcasing on-stand HomeWorks, GRAFIK Eye, LCP 128 - Lutron's quick to install, self-contained lighting control system - and the company's consumer dimming range. In addition the company will be showcasing additions to its Sivoia QED sophisticated electronic drive for controlling roller blinds.

HomeWorks

The HomeWorks Lighting Control System provides convenient, reliable operation of lighting and other home electronics from keypads throughout the home. The advanced lighting control system's enhanced capabilities bring unprecedented flexibility, power and versatility to home lighting control and streamline interactive connections with other home systems.

GRAFIK 3000 Family

With Lutron's GRAFIK Eye and GRAFIK Integrale lighting control systems, lighting scenes for common activities can be programmed and retrieved at the touch of a button. With easy integration to touchscreens and other AV equipment and accessories that allow one-touch control from any location, Lutron's GRAFIK series offers the ultimate in lighting control versatility. Grafik Integrale is the first system to offer control capability for virtually all modern load sources, with dimming, preset scene selection and programming all available from one unit.

Sivoia QED

Lutron's Sivoia QED technology offers users complete daylight control for both residential and commercial applications. Sivoia QED is the ultimate in motorised roller and roman blind technology, providing elegance, convenience and versatility. The innovative design features a near silent electronic drive (44 dBA at three feet), minimal light gaps around the roller blind, simple installation, and a flexible design that can work in virtually any installation. Sivoia QED's Roller 64 option has the added advantage of fitting into headboxes as small as 89mm x 89mm and has a sleek roller tube that's just 41mm in diameter. In addition to offering the ultimate in daylight control for roller blinds, Sivoia QED's curtain track enhancement enables control of 30 percent, heavier drapes and provides users with a narrower motor drive, which sits flush with the width of the curtain track.

LCP 128

Lutron's LCP128 self-contained lighting control system is quick to install and incorporates the control of all lighting circuits, switched and dimmed, interior and exterior, into one simple operating system. Ideal for use in commercial applications such as restaurants and retail areas, where disruption of business needs to be kept to a minimum, the LCP128 can be installed and programmed on-site by an electrical engineer.

Consumer Dimming Range

There are five products in Lutron's new consumer dimming range, including Lyneo, Lutron's basic slide dimmer and Solina a discrete floor and table lamp dimmer which can fade lamps on and off with a simple tap - while memorising the last light level set. The range also includes Rania and Rania IR, which are multi-location dimmers that are both operated by the touch of a button and when switched back on, the dimmer memorises the last lighting level chosen. Universal dimming options are also available on the Rania range that auto-sense the load type - both low voltage and incandescent sources.
