A+K Home introduces complete 1080p home cinema package (14/4/2007)

High quality Home Cinema solutions are becoming more easily accessible to the mass market, thanks largely to A+K Home, as they introduce a unique combination of high performing products, capable of providing true cinema quality to the mid range consumer market. The technologically advanced products which form the basis of A+K's 1080p Full High Definition packages include a 1080p projector from Mitsubishi or JVC and a Stewart FireHawk G3 1080p projection screen; the first projection surface to be specifically engineered for 1080p projectors. An SMS projector bracket and 5m HDMI cable complete the all-inclusive packages. The introduction of these packages perfectly positions A+K to target the Home Cinema enthusiast who, in search of the ultimate 1080p Full High Definition Home Cinema experience, requires a combination of unmatched performance and realistic affordability.

The high price tag generally associated with this superior level of quality and performance simply does not exist. Instead, A+K recognizes that due to the rising popularity of the High Definition flatscreen, it has never been so important for projector and projection screen manufacturers to supply products of the very highest quality at prices which remain competitive. It is also vital that these products continue to out-perform the alternatives in terms of image contrast, quality, clarity and detail. It is with supply partners who share this belief, that A+K works.

Mitsubishi and JVC have both risen to this challenge by producing feature-packed 1080p projectors at budget friendly prices. To compliment these products, Stewart Filmscreen's FireHawk G3 1080p projection screen surface represents the next generation of Stewart's most popular home cinema projection screen and is aimed squarely at the latest projection technologies. With the introduction of the long-awaited true 1080p projectors we are seeing improved pixel density and a higher quality content which is more transparent than ever before. Consequently the screen must also disappear in concert with the pixel structure. FireHawk G3 is the only screen surface specifically engineered for 1080p projectors, providing an extremely flat and smooth viewing surface and excellent performance in a wide range of viewing environments .

The launch of the HC5000 by Mitsubishi brings a true cinema experience to a wider audience thanks to an impressive combination of inspirational picture quality and technologically advanced features coupled with an affordability which has the potential to set a new benchmark in the Home Cinema industry . Exclusively available from A+K Home, it offers a true 1920 x 1080 resolution for High Definition detail in film, sports and general viewing. It has also been designed to be compatible with the latest Blu-ray and HD ready technology products.

Thanks to a native contrast ratio of 15,000:1, the DLA-HD1 from JVC realises true black reproduction without losing any picture brightness-the key to really bringing out the vivid presence expected from High Definition content. The high native contrast is achieved through the combined use of a newly developed 0.7-in full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) D-ILA device and a new optical engine. The projector also benefits from set-up flexibility, a Gennum Corporation processor which faithfully reproduces high quality images, improved user friendliness and a luxurious and stylish design.
