News NetStreams Announces a Helvar Driver for the DigiLinX Multiroom Audio and Control System (19/3/2007) Plug and Play Driver allows for easy integration with DigiLinX Multi-Room Audio & Control system NetStreams(r), the world leader in digital entertainment networks based on Internet Protocol (IP) technology, announces the release of a Helvar driver for the DigiLinX Multi-Room Audio and Control system. Helvar is leading the way in providing state of the art digital dimming technology systems that are simple to use, creative and cost effective. Working with DigiLinX, the Helvar Driver now means that installers, both commercial and residential, have opportunities to quickly and easily incorporate lighting control into active and new DigiLinX projects. Helvar lighting scenes can be custom named using the DigiLinX set-up software and then simply uploaded to the DigiLinX system with a minimum of fuss. Offering superb audio quality with synchronized sound to multiple rooms, high definition video integration and simple installation and operation, DigiLinX does not require the extensive programming found on typical audio/video distribution systems. Peter Alloway, Sales Manager at Invision, the sole UK distributor of NetStreams products, said "Control drivers for Rako, Mode, Lutron HomeWorks, Leax and Futronix lighting systems are already available so the addition of Helvar gives the DigiLinX dealer yet another progressive level of integration". Using the NetStreams home automation interface - the ControLinX CL100 - the integrated driver will enable control of either Helvar lighting on a TouchLinX touch screen, a wireless web tablet, PDA or PC instead of cluttering the walls with extra control keypads. Moreover the homeowner has visual feedback of which lighting scene is selected. In addition, the NetStreams DigiLinX system can also combine with a powerful coalition of manufacturers from many diverse markets including Sky, AMX, Crestron, iPort, AudioReQuest, Imerge, Panasonic, Polk Audio and Sensible Heat, making it one of the most easily integrated control brands available.
