AWE's Open Week is Just the Ticket! (15/3/2007)

A special "Open Week" from AWE, the top AV equipment distributor to the UK custom installation trade, will give customers not only the chance to see up-close the latest 1080p products from the company's range, but also to win a much-coveted place on the forthcoming AWE and Pioneer Motorsport Sensation driving day.

Taking place from 26-30th March at its head office and training facility in Epsom, Surrey, the AWE open week will feature a dedicated 45 minute presentation, taking place hourly, to showcase the AWE range of 1080p high definition products. First up is a sneak preview of the Pioneer Blu-Ray player. Imported from the States, the UK version is set to be modelled on this and will be launched later this year. A 1080p Blu-Ray demo and technical overview of the Cineversum Blackwing and Blackwing Two three chip D-iLA projectors are also on offer. Sessions will be finished off with a 'DVD vs. Blu-Ray shootout' showing on Pioneer PDP-5000 1080p plasma and the new Cineversum Blackwing Two projector. Those attending will be automatically entered into a 'Golden Ticket' draw to win a guaranteed, and much sought after, place on the AWE and Pioneer Motorsport Sensation driving day, scheduled to take place on 27th July 2007.

AWE is now taking bookings for hour long training sessions at the event, for those interested in learning more about the new Pronto TSU-9600 which includes a demo of 2-way RS-232 with Escient Media Server. The open week is also an opportunity to see the latest Onkyo CI friendly products up close including an AM/FM tuner with RS-232 and DAB option and a fully loaded AVR with RS-232 and up conversion, offered at a ground breaking price point.

For those unable to attend the open week or keen to be entered into the AWE and Pioneer Motorsport Sensation draw more than once, points are earned each time a Pioneer screen is purchased from AWE. For every 40 points earned, installers are entered into the draw for a place on the high octane driving day. The event offers delegates the chance to drive seven different road and race spec cars on five miles of purpose built track. High definition footage of the 2005 driving day will be available to view throughout the week. To see what cars are on offer to drive, visit www.palmersport.co.uk.
