dnp Supernova Screen gets ISF Certification (13/3/2007)

dnp denmark, manufacturer of high-end optical projection screens, has received the Image Science Foundation (ISF) certification - hereby certifying that the fabric on their optical front projection screens, Supernova(tm) Flex Screen and Supernova(tm) Infinity Screen, meet the specifications that define the best video display available for consumers.

The world wide recognized ISF certification is consumers guarantee that the display maintains brightness and colour balance over the entire viewing cone. "We are very proud and excited that the optical qualities of the Supernova Screen meet the high-quality benchmarks set forth by ISF", says Johnny Jensen, Supernova Product Manager at dnp denmark.

Superb calibration capability

The Supernova Screen is designed to provide superb screen quality by delivering a high black level and bright uniform colours. With the ISF certification the Supernova Screen enables dealers to provide an optimum residential installation with superb video performance by using ISF calibration of the two piece system (projector and screen).

"The ISF mode is the highest compliment any manufacturer can pay their dealers, and the very best way for dealers to set up the products they deliver. This is how a manufacturer formally recognizes that their dealers are an integrated part of the delivery process", says Manfred Freiberger, Senior Account Manager at dnp USA. "With an ISF certified screen, the Custom Installer can assure the end-user that he will experience colours as intended by the cinematographers. An ISF certified screen enables the Custom Installer to provide calibration of the combined projector and screen without the risk of offsetting the original colours from the source material".
