T+W Marketing Introduces State-of-the-Art Noise Reduction by Algolith (1/3/2007)

Pan-european distributor T+W Marketing introduces Algoliths Mosquito HDMI & Flea HDMI to the market. The Mosquito Home Theater Video Enhancer & Flea HDMI are ideal for use with DVDs and compressed signals and are a dedicated units to reduce compression noise artefacts which makes it a unique product in the market for image enhancing today.

Mosquito reduces compression noise artifacts known as "mosquito noise" (random noise apparent along edges of compressed images). It reduces bad reception and low light noises. Mosquito virtually eliminates block artifacts associated with fast moving images. Mosquito cleans up and sharpens compressed MPEG images from Satellite TV, Digital Cable, DVDs and digital recordings (DVD-Rs and PVRs).

Mosquito performs four distinct image noise reducing techniques. First, mosquito noise is removed, using Algolith's proprietary pixel-based algorithm. Second, Block Artifact Reduction (BAR) blends and diminishes inherent 8 x 8 pixel block structures of MPEG images. Third, Algolith's advanced motion adaptive temporal filtering eliminates bad reception and low light noises. Finally, Mosquito provides image enhancement using non-linear filters providing exceptionally sharp and noise free pictures.
