News Vantage Announces the Release of the Vantage Controls Axium 450 Series Multiroom Amplifier (23/2/2007) Integrated Systems Europe 2007 Distributed Audio Controller is Designed to Drag and Drop into a Vantage System Vantage, long seen as the industry leader in lighting control and home automation has entered the realm of distributed audio with the introduction of Vantage Controls' Axium 450AV multi-room amplifier. The Vantage Controls Axium 450AV multi-room amplifier was designed by system integrators with the system integrators in mind. Drag and drop drivers make integration of the Vantage Controls Axium 450AV into a Vantage InFusion system a breeze. Aside from being built on the rock solid technology that people have come to expect from Vantage, the new distributed audio system offers one stop shopping and makes bidding and building a job that much easier for the dealer. Vantage Controls' Axium 450AV Series is one of the most advanced, dedicated multi-room amplifiers on the market. The Vantage Controls Axium 450AV Series like other Vantage products is designed to maximize control, enhance functionality, and expedite design and installation. Vantage products are built to the highest standards of quality and reliability. The multi-zone audio/video amplifier combined with keypad controllers, and/or the Vantage InFusion automation system enables you to individually control the power, volume and source selection in up to four rooms, with four sub-zone preamplifier outputs available. Vantage Controls' Axium 450AV Series multi-zone amplifiers may be interconnected via the expansion bus, providing up to 32 zones of control which vastly simplifies installation cabling. The Vantage Controls Axium 450AV Series has four separate amplifiers and preamplifiers, providing 4 zones of independent yet integrated control. There are seven stereo sources (S1 - S7) and an eighth mono source (S8) typically used for paging applications. Each unit incorporates an eight source by four-zone composite video matrix so screens in four different rooms may display any of the eight sources (S1 - S8). Buffered video outputs allow expansion of these sources to 32 zones. Vantage Controls Axium 450AV Series has 50 Watts RMS per channel into 8 ohms, capable of driving into 4 ohms. The amplifiers are protected against short-term output shorts. There are three progressive levels of thermal protection. The 450AV Series comes in two models, the 451AV (120 Volts AC) and the 452AV (230 Volts AC).
