News AMX Control System Packages Simplify Product Selection for Integrators (25/1/2007) AMX, worldwide leader in advanced control system technology, has expanded its popular line of EXPerience Kits to include bundled system offerings designed around its newest NetLinx Integrated Controllers - the NI-900, NI-2100 and NI-3100. The kits are available with touch panel, keypad and handheld remote interface options to meet individual user preferences. EXPerience Kits simplify the product selection, pricing and procurement process for integrators by bundling all of the AMX components needed for many of the company's most popular control system configurations. New EXPerience Kits, designed around the NetLinx NI-900 Integrated Controller, offer nine distinct control ports to make selecting products for smaller, single room installations easier for AMX dealers. These kits complement updated versions of the six existing EXPerience Kits, featuring wireless Modero ViewPoint Touch Panels, now with upgraded NI-2100 and NI-3100 Integrated Controllers, and two wired Modero options. In addition, all-new kits featuring 5", 7" and 10" Modero touch panels with each of the three NetLinx controllers have been introduced. Further new kits based on the NI-900 have been developed for AMX's R1 (infra-red) and R2 (radio frequency) handheld remote controls, along with new bundles featuring Modero Mio keypads. The upgraded NI-2100 and NI-3100 controllers provide three times more processing power, twice the Random Access Memory (RAM) and four times the Flash memory of the previous-generation controllers. The NI-2100 can support up to 15 distinct control ports, while the NI-3100 can integrate up to 31 distinct control ports for more extensive control and automation requirements within a large area or between multiple rooms. A total of 26 EXPerience kits are now available, providing dealers with even greater flexibility and convenience. All of the kits contain an Experience System Software CD with AMX design tools, power supply and cables.
