Sharp involved in a string of Full HD firsts at ISE 2007 (23/1/2007)

Stand Q10, Integrated Systems Europe 2007

Sharp is showing its growing commitment to the professional display market by exhibiting at ISE for the first time with a range of LCD professional monitors and projectors. Their stand located in Hall 4 booth Q10 will be showing many worlds first innovative products and solutions including the largest commercially available LCD monitor, the PN-655R 65-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) monitor. The product is available to buy now and features a host of professional display requirements including a fan-less chassis design to facilitate quiet dust free running 24 hours a day 7 days per week. Sharp will be showing the displays in a 2x2 video wall array showing full HD content supplied by Inspired Signage.

In the 'mine is bigger than yours' war Sharp recently announced and demonstrated a 108 inch LCD monitor, showing the capability of their market leading 8th Generation Kameyama production plant. Watch this space for further details.

Also making its European debut is the PN-655RE designed for portrait mode operation with a low total cost of ownership. The portrait model will also feature an optional optical touch screen overlay capable of operating with electronic whiteboard software.

Sharp will also be debuting the PN-465 46-inch monitor and will also be announcing details of the PN-525E 52-inch display. These monitors again have a low total cost of ownership and are fitted with removable frame bezels to facilitate customisation or easy repair for rental fleets.

Sharp also expect that their venture with Infinitus Outdoor will draw in the crowds at ISE with their 65 inch I-Motion outdoor advertising display. The product comprises a fully weatherproof outdoor housing with climate control and has a Global patent pending on the idea.

Amongst other areas of interest will be the new Sharp Aquos XD series TV range, which is ideally suited for both custom install and hotel type applications. Also Sharp will introduce 3 new projectors including the XG-PH70X with an incredible 5200 ANSI lumens of brightness and the XV-Z21000 with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 12000:1 contrast ratio, again ideal for custom installers.
