News Datacolor to launch ColorFacts Professional 7.0 at Integrated Systems Europe 2007 (15/1/2007) Stand F50, Integrated Systems Europe 2007 Datacolor, a global leader in colour management and colour communications technology, today announces the launch of version 7.0 of Datacolor ColorFacts Professional at Integrated Systems Europe 2007. ColorFacts Professional 7.0 is a colour calibration software system for analysing and optimising the performance of all front projectors, RPTVs, direct view televisions, digital DLPs, LCDs and plasma video displays to industry standards. Exclusively in the run up to and during ISE 2007, purchasers of Datacolor ColorFacts Professional 6.0, priced at 2,050 euros (£1,375 approximately) excluding VAT, will be eligible for a free upgrade to ColorFacts 7.0, representing a saving of 750 euros (£505 approximately) excluding VAT if purchased before 2nd February 2007. Aimed at professional calibration technicians, home theatre installers and high-end AV dealers, Datacolor ColorFacts Professional 7.0 is fast, accurate and user-friendly. With the integrated hardware and intuitive, full-colour user interface, ColorFacts Professional 7.0 reduces the time required to calibrate almost any display. The result is high quality images, lifelike colours and finer detail, enhancing the picture by extending highlight and shadow. Supporting a number of display devices, hardware instruments and colour systems, ColorFacts is distinguished by its wizards that offer a step-by-step process of calibrating and optimising displays. Specific test parameters can be set up at the click of a mouse, with ColorFacts measuring information for brightness uniformity, grey scale, contrast or primary and secondary colours. Another set-up wizard measures a 'dark reading', enabling a meter to be properly set and to isolate any residual electric charges. A further wizard generates reports and ColorFacts also incorporates a built-in database creator. New features of Datacolor ColorFacts Professional 7.0 include: á Hand-selected 'Platinum' Spyder2 colorimeter
(accuracy: Chromacity x,y: +/- 0.002; Luminance: Y +/- 1 per cent) Datacolor ColorFacts 7.0 is fully upgradeable to reference lab equipment standards and operates with most colour measuring hardware. ColorFacts Professional has an integrated signal generator with an RS232 connection that automatically drives the generator. Over ten devices are supported. The system offers multi-display or video wall display matching so that colour and luminance can be matched simultaneously, cutting the time required to match multiple displays. Time is also saved as the system offers historical and real-time data and each click of the remote produces immediate feedback. The system calibrates from DVD to screen and so delivers a more vivid home theatre experience. ColorFacts Professional 7.0 measures and displays colour gamut (device primaries) and has feature-rich software, allowing full control over cuts and gains, primary, secondary and gamma analysis and grey scale tracking from black to white. Users also benefit from wizard-based colour measurement tasks and a configurable, full-colour user interface. System requirements: á PC-based Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP Following ISE 2007, Datacolor ColorFacts Professional 7.0 will be available priced at 2,800 euros (£1,880 approximately) excluding VAT. Datacolor offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, two-year warranty and unlimited free e-mail and telephone support. As updated software is released, registered owners will be able to download free updates. Datacolor will be represented at ISE 2007 on the stand of T+W Marketing, a pan-European distributor of premium consumer technology with a network of highly qualified and carefully selected specialist resellers and custom installers.
