TV One Sweetens Product Line with New C2-2000 Series (28/12/2006)

The addition of the CORIO2(r) based C2-2000 Series brings ten new units to the table consisting of four Down Converters, four Video Switcher/Scalers and two Universal Switcher/Scalers.

TV One has taken product diversification up a notch with the creation of ten new units that make up the new C2-2000 series, comprised of four Down Converters, four Video Switcher/Scalers and two Universal Switcher/Scalers. These units feature DVI and Analog inputs and outputs and five of the models are equipped with SDI. All units have an LCD on the front for set-up, eliminating the need for an On-Screen Display. Prices range from £1095 (€1610) to £1845 (€2713) and they are available for immediate shipment.

The C2-2000 series focuses on ease of use while providing features common to more expensive devices. Automatic incoming resolution detection and support of multiple worldwide television standards are standard on all ten units in the C2-2000 family. All units can handle a maximum input PC resolution of 2048 x 2048 and all HDTV resolutions up to 1080p. Variable Zoom can go up to 10x allowing enlargement of any part of the computer screen while Variable Shrink can go down to 10 percent. Position controls allow movement around any desired area. The Up Converters feature Motion compensation and a 3:2 Pulldown to greatly improve NTSC image quality from film sources. The 4:4:4 sampling provides full bandwidth chroma for accurate replication of high resolution colors and precise Chroma Keying.

All ten units are controlled by front panel Push Buttons, Infrared, RS-232 or IP connection. A Windows Control Panel is provided and most third party control systems interface directly with the entire C2 range of products. All units offer Seamless Switching of the input signals. The number of inputs may be increased by choosing the appropriate S2 Input Expansion Switcher, which links to the main unit via an Options Interconnect Cable. The routing of these additional inputs is controlled directly from any of the C2-2000 Series control system. All models are housed in a compact desktop case and a single/dual rackmount kit is available as an option.

The C2-2350 Universal Switcher/Scaler offers maximum flexibility by providing Up, Down and Cross Conversion with inputs and outputs consisting of Composite Video, S-Video, YUV Component, YPbPr (Progressive Scan) Component and RGB. The RGB and YPbPr inputs and outputs are available in analog via an HD-15 Connector as well as in DVI-D via a DVI-I connector. All inputs are scalable and incoming signal parameters can be adjusted. A 4x1 integral stereo audio routing switcher allows audio to follow the video input selection. Advance features include Genlock, Picture-in-Picture, Chromakey, Lumakey, Mixing and Edge Blending. The C2-2355 has all those features plus an SDI output.

The C2-2200 Video Switcher/Scaler provides Up and Cross Conversion. The seven inputs consist of 2x S-Video, 2x Composite Video, YUV/YPbPr component via 3-BNC, analog RGB/YPbPr via HD-15 and DVI-D RGB/YPbPr. The C2-2205 also provides an SDI input, making a total of eight inputs. All inputs are scalable and incoming signal parameters can be adjusted. A 4x1 integral stereo audio routing switcher allows audio to follow the video input selection. The C2-2250 has all the features of the C2-2200 plus an advanced feature set that includes Genlock, Picture-in-Picture, Chromakey, Lumakey, Mixing and Edge Blending. The C2-2255 adds an SDI input.

The C2-2100 Down Converter handles analog computer signals via the HD-15 with Loop-thru and DVI-D computer signals via a DVI-I Connector. Video outputs are simultaneously provided in Composite, S-Video and YUV Component. Alternatively, the YUV output can be set to YPbPr Component (Progressive Scan). The Genlock feature ensures signal synchronization by providing a wide Subcarrier lock range with Subcarrier phase adjustment. Our exclusive AutoSet(r) feature automatically fits the picture to the screen. The C2-2105 also provides an SDI output. The C2-2150 has all the features of the C2-2100 plus an advanced feature set that includes Picture-in-Picture, Chromakey, Lumakey and Mixing. The C2-2155 adds an SDI output.

The new C2-2000 Series will also be on demonstration or display at ISE 2007 being held in Amsterdam between 30th January and 1st February, on the TV One Stand A70.
