Niles Launches Revolutionary Whole-House Audio System at ISE 2007 with European business partners, BMB Custom A/V (28/12/2006)

BMB Custom A/V (a division of BMB Electronics BV), The leading European custom integration and 'whole house solutions' Distributor today announced the European launch of the NILES Intellicontrol ICS Whole House Audio System. BMB will be distributing this exciting product line in Europe.

Already the recipient of four major industry awards in 2006, IntelliControl ICS is launched here in Europe at the IS Expo as possibly the first whole house audio system that accommodates virtually all of today's popular sources - including HD Radio(r), iPod(r), IP-based music sources, legacy audio sources such as CD players, media servers and AM/FM radio - delivering detailed information to and from its keypads, touchscreens and wireless remote controls.

At the heart of the system is the GXR2 Modular Multizone Receiver, the first receiver to use interchangeable source card modules. IntelliControl ICS allows simultaneous listening and control of a variety of music or programs to different rooms or zones throughout the house. The receiver accommodates any combination of up to six modules, and with additional GXR2s, the system is expandable to up to 30 zones, each with fully independent choice of source and control. New to the system is a RS232G Bi-directional Gateway, which seamlessly integrates subsystems such as Lutron(r) lighting controls and Escient(r) and ReQuest(r) music servers with IntelliControl ICS.

IntelliControl ICS comes with a choice of four system control devices, including a unique wireless remote control dubbed the iRemote(r), which supplies all of the "meta-data" (song title, artist, album, etc.) to users' fingertips, allowing them to scan, select and play content from their ICS system just as if they were standing in front of a CD rack, satellite receiver or holding an iPod in their hands.

Other ICS system controllers include a color touchscreen display and wall-mountable keypads, available with or without LCD displays. All control devices provide real-time user feedback in the form of meta-data menus for intuitive source navigation and operation. Quick and easy access to an entire library is now beautifully simple.

Niles was crowned "Innovator of the Year" for the revolutionary IntelliControl(r) ICS whole house audio system by CE Pro for the magazine's High Impact Product Awards. These 'CHIP' awards are especially valuable because the are based on the recommendations of professional integrators who have sold, installed and profited from the award-winning products.
