Digital Projection International Expands Worldwide Operations (27/12/2006)

Digital Projection International (DPI), an Emmy(r) Award-winning manufacturer of high-performance projection systems, announced the expansion of the company's worldwide operations with the official opening of DP China.

Under the direction of Bruce Xiong, Manager of DP China, the company's newest offices are located in Beijing and will serve as a distribution, sales, service and support hub for the extensive Chinese market. Xiong joins Digital Projection with an extensive background in the A/V Industry and will be assisted by four other new DP associates. Xiong's formal education was conducted in China prior to his move to Canada to earn a masters degree in business administration. After returning to China to start his career in AV Integration, Xiong helped form Crestron Asia with an initial team of three employees. At the end of his six-year tenure in November 2006, Xiong had grown the Crestron China operations into an establishment of 40 employees spread across 5 offices. At DP China, Xiong will be joined by Leo Lee, southern regional manager; Chris Xue, marketing manager; Tina Wang, sales and applicaiton engineer; and Angela Wang, receptionist.

Nick Cottiss, director of Digital Projection's international sales and marketing, commented; "The expansion of Digital Projection's operations into China is a natural progression of our company's growth at this time. Our recent success in India has not been overlooked, and other parts of the world are showing an increasing demand for DPI's precision displays," Cottiss added. "Mr. Xiong's expertise in the Chinese marketplace, paired with his knowledge of the A/V industry, will allow DPI to continue to provide the best display solutions worldwide."

Digital Projection will begin shipping its products from the company's Manchester, UK headquarters to the Beijing office in the first quarter of 2007.
