Hi-Tech House-2006 Fifth International Exhibition (1/12/2006)

November 9-12, 2006 the International Exhibition and Forum HI-TECH HOUSE 2006 took place in the Moscow Gostiniy Dvor. The largest specialized exhibition in Russia and the CIS, focused on practical application of advanced technologies achievements in Buildings and Houses, has celebrated its Fifth Anniversary this year. For the five years the exhibition managed to win the serious international recognition and to become one of the most reputable events in the field of automation and effective buildings operation.

More than 200 companies demonstrated their progressive technologies this year. Among them: ARMO Engineering, ABB Industrial & Building Systems, Tour Andover Controls, York, NPO SEM, Advance, AMX, Siemens, Merten, Gira, Berker, Bticino, Yung, Ensto, Philips, Beckhoff, Echelon, Clipsal - Relcon-S, CAREL, Itrium, Gulfstream, ABL Group etc.

The organizers are glad to mention, that the number of foreign exponents increases constantly, this year 27 world's best manufacturers presented their innovative solutions at the Exhibition. All leading building automation technologies (Konnex EIB, LonWorks, BacNet) were demonstrated in the international Associations' Pavilions and Collective Foreign Manufacturers' booths.

Novelties

The representatives of large corporate clients and end-users were interested by the booths of the companies showing large variety of illumination systems, and professional equipment and complex audiovisual systems. For the first time these technologies were split into separate expositions and enjoyed popularity of visitors. So, Mitsubishi Company released a universal means for information imaging for offices, airports, stations, trade and entertainment centers - ultra-fine display Digital Signage DDP60, which provides distinct and bright image by the minimum projection distance. High interest of LG booth visitors attracted plasma screen 71PY10 - the largest of all series-produced in the world, and a wall multimedia projector AN-110.

All most progressive in the field of building automation was represented at the Exhibition: building management systems, security and video control systems, power saving, climate control, telecommunication, illumination, multizone audio-video systems etc.

"ARMO-Engineering" Company demonstrated its latest projects and solutions in the field of engineering technical complexes for intelligent buildings' creation and introduced its unique technologies and modern solutions of building management in business and trade centers, hotels, hospitals and offices. Traditionally, ARMO's training center was represented, it is the official ECHELON training center authorized to issue International certificates. The visitors showed high interest to the security management solutions. "ARMO-Engineering" presented the integrated security system Alliance, permitting to a unite fail-safe infrastructure access control and guard alarm systems, fire alarm and video control systems in an integrated unit.

"ITRIUM" Company demonstrated new operations in LonWorks standard, IP-TV novelties in Wi-Fi _ WiMax standards, monitor and managing systems. The modern way of integrated security systems construction, of building automation, engineering and guard IP-TV, managing systems was displayed at the booth.

At "GULFSTREAM security systems"' booth there were represented new solutions for home or office security. Notably, a new wireless version of control panel Easy Series (BOSCH) up to 32 zones, two-way connection with radio sensors, voice prompts at the keyboard - for private houses and small business guard.

"MERTEN" Company presented intelligent solutions for the successful hotels managements: illumination control with the presence, move and light conditions sensors; intelligent systems for conferences carrying out, microclimate regulation systems etc. "Bedside Panel" permits to manage all room services possible keeping one's bed, whether it be illumination, conditioner, ventilation, wake-up clock, etc., creating maximum comfort.

"CLIPSAL- RELCON-S" Company demonstrated a new project of smart furniture integration with the digital rooms of smart office. This approach implies complex hi-tech and ergonomic working environment creation.

Russian Company "NPO SEM", Experimental design bureau, represented their own solutions, promoting further development of demand on high IQ value objects. The cost of such home equipment is lower then the one of foreign analogues, but the quality isn't inferior. Controllers worked out by "NPO SEM" and other means of building automation and management create for operation services the possibility to use expensive energy supplies flexibly, permit to monitor equipment work all the time, to feel "the pulse" of all building life support systems in reality.

Visitor's attraction was drawn by the multi-vendor BACnet system work demonstration, which included different manufacturers' equipment: Sauter, Siemens, Kieback&Peter, Johnson Controls, RTSoft, and Automated Logic.

For those who came to get acquainted with the home automation possibilities in private flats and cottages, the thematic zone "Comfort and multimedia systems" was of high interest. The number of new solutions in this field increases constantly. Of novelties, "InternetDom" Company presented managing of Smart house systems from the TV-set screen, alternatively to the separately stated sensor screen. Another functionally close system was presented by "Special Solutions and Systems" Company. Communicative functions should be mentioned separately here. For long-distance connection with the owner it doesn't need Internet connection. There can be a GSM-module put in the system, which sends and receives SMS with information and demands. The exposition of American company"AMX" was no less interesting; it showed the unified managing system AMX. It permits to unite and automate all life support an_ security systems, home entertainment complex and telecommunications. "Real Intellect" Company presented solutions "visiomatic" and demonstrated novelties of the year 2006. Company specialists showed that visiomatic solutions could not only contribute to the visual management system organization, but also could be a platform for complex system-based solution construction, which includes multiroom, IR audio-video managing, audio-video distribution through twisted-pair wire. A new interesting product of "United Engineers" Company is called DomBox. It is an optimized in price and functions set of solutions for the Smart house systems construction in a flat or cottage by means of a consumer with minimum help of specialists.

In the whole participants' expositions demonstrated that nowadays there is a great variety of solutions for the customers to choose from. Moreover, we have already formed standards, which should be the orienteer for all building organizations soon. This fact will surely be a security for a moderate price on Smart Home.

Exhibition key events

Annually, the exposition is growing not only in amount of participants, but in quality of realized events, too. Traditionally, the organizers hold the International FORUM, which has already won high interest and credit of specialists. This year the FORUM was held in the run-up to the Exhibition, November, 8, 2006, in the Moscow hotel "Marriott Aurora". More than 200 participants, among them - representatives of investors, developers, designers, architects, system integrators, security dealers, distributors, retailers, top managers and technical specialists of big industrial enterprises and trade companies, business centers, insurance companies, trade and entertainment centers, inter-industrial holdings, had the possibility to discuss most crucial building automation market issues in Russia, and to create ways of solution. Many of the speakers stressed that one of the most important aims for all market participants is to promote intelligent technologies in this country. So one can confirm for sure that the International FORUM became another serious step in this direction.

Within the Exhibition diverse seminars and trainings for technical qualification rise were held by International Associations: LON Mark International, BIG-RU (BACnet). Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association CEDIA offered all visitors of Hi-Tech House to visit a free introductory course CEDIA - "How to start business in the field of home installations of integrated electronics systems ". In the end anyone who wished could enter for the whole training program, based on listeners' requests, which will be held in April, 10-11, in Moscow "Iris Congress" hotel, in advance to the HDI SHOW-2007 Exhibition.

Special interest of visitors was paid to traditional events of the Exhibition. Impressive Videoprojection show gave a unique opportunity to compare technical characteristics of video projection systems of the leading world manufacturers and choose the best one for home or office. Representation of Technical Solutions helped everyone to choose the best in price and quality novelties for automatic control system realization in a country house and flat. Moreover, each guest got the exclusive catalogue "Hi-Tech House 2006: Gallery of projects" with the description of Intelligent Buildings and Smart Houses realized projects.

Results

To sum it all up, one can confirm that intelligent technologies market in Russia is coming up to high development level. The Hi-Tech House Exhibition plays an important part in this theme popularization in Russia, promotes business contacts with foreign manufacturers and Russian regional companies. Owing to Hi-tech House, lots of new technologies and solutions have been made use of at the Russian market of building automation.
