Marata Vision introduces the Sharp XV-Z21000 high
definition home cinema projector (22/11/2006)
Now available from Marata Vision is the new
HDTV 1920 x 1080 pixel projector from Sharp. The XV-Z21000 is a
full high definition 1080p projector offering a stunning 12,000:1
contrast ratio.
This contrast ratio is achieved through the
use of a dual iris mechanism, for the first time on a Sharp projector.
With three-step aperture settings, this guarantees stable contrast
regardless of changing scene light levels.
The projector uses DLP(R) technology to produce
a bright output of up to 1000 ANSI lumens, with uniform colour reproduction
that does not degrade over time. The high quality sealed optics
also benefit from a 1.35x zoom lens.
With two HDMI interfaces, a DVI-I connector
and an analogue component input, the XV-Z21000 allows simultaneous
connection of a variety of HD sources, which can be displayed in
1080p, 1080i or 720p formats. Other analogue interfaces are included,
such as S-Video, for displaying PAL/SECAM or NTSC signals. A trigger
terminal can automatically operate a motorised screen for example
when the power is turned on or off.
Lamp life is rated at up to 3000 hours in
low power mode, and the switchable screen has 4:3 and 16:9 aspect
ratios. Fan noise is a low 31 dB.
