LG launches 42LB1DB LCD flat screen television (13/11/2006)
LG Electronics (LG) is playing a major role
in bringing high-definition TV to Britain, and a key product is
the stylish 42LB1DB LCD flat screen television. Elegant and understated
on the outside, the technology hidden inside delivers even sharper
images and cinema-quality sound after an update of the company's
exclusive XD Engine technology and is bound to ignite the interest
of anyone looking to improve the quality of their home entertainment.
The 42" high-resolution screen (1366 x 768),
with its understated and discreet black exterior, is set to take
centre stage when linked up to DVD players, home cinema systems
or any other device, thanks to its two HDMI connections. With these
HDMI sockets the 42LB1DB is HD Ready, giving the viewer the opportunity
to watch all the recently launched HD channels. Programmes viewed
in HD improve the level of detail in the picture and the sound quality,
making the viewer feel like they have been taken from their living
room and transported onto the TV set, film location or sporting
event they are watching.
To adapt to its surroundings and to automatically
adjust the television's contrast, brightness and sharpness levels
the screen comes with a built-in ambient light sensor as part of
LG's 'Eye Intelligent' system. With its integrated speakers which
emphasise the streamlined look, the 42LB1DB can either be wall-mounted
or set up using the practical swivel stand to add to any interior
design concept.
James Atkins, marketing manager from LG,
comments; "High-definition TV has well and truly arrived in Britain
and the new 42LB1DB television meets the needs of consumers looking
for a stylish product with a high-tech edge. With its two HDMI connections
the TV will be the perfect centre of people's entertainment needs."
