Audica launches AVS - innovative integrated system solutions (30/10/2006)

Audica will launch its AVS systems at the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision 2006 Show, to be held at the Novotel Hotel, Hammersmith from the 3rd to 5th November 2006.

The AVS systems, with prices starting at £1250, combine Audica's award-winning CS-Series loudspeakers with a new innovative DVD Receiver - the AVR-1.

The AVR-1 is the engine at the heart of an AVS system. Its slim good looks conceal a precision disc-player and powerful amplification. Combining performance with flexibility was Audica's design aim. This is reflected in the wide range of discs the AVR-1 will play, it's programmable configurations from stereo to 6.1 surround and an array of interconnection options including an HDMI output for connection to very latest HD-ready screens.

The AVR-1 includes a powerful DSP to enable the system to be optimised for specific room positions and specific Audica loudspeakers. This makes setup really simple. The correct set up can be achieved, on the AVR-1, by selecting the Audica speaker and setting the distances and position; the DSP's algorithms do the rest.

Accessories

The GWB-50 Generic Wall Bracket will support a flat screen as well as the CS-LCR or CS-C1 loudspeaker.

The companion AVS-GEO (supplied compete with GWB50) equipment housing will not only carry your flat screen, centre speaker and DVD Receiver, it can conceal your sub-woofer, carry other items like satellite or cable boxes and be located freestanding or in the corner of a room.

The CS-SB Satellite bracket can be used to mount the CS-S1 satellite loudspeaker on the wall or ceiling. NB. The satellites are supplied with a wall bracket but this one allows 360 degree rotation and ceiling mounting.
