Incredibly Quiet, Extremely Powerful NuTone Central Vacuum Provides Convenient, Deep-Cleaning Power (25/10/2006)

CEDIA US Expo 2006

Vacuuming has never been easier or quieter thanks to the NuTone(r) Central Vacuum, according to Christian Reick-Mitrisin, marketing manager.

"Our new Central Vacuum is engineered to fit easily into homes. Made of a lightweight polymer designed to resist rust and dents, this flexible product can be installed for left- or right-intake, eliminating installation difficulties. The contemporary, wall-hugging oval shape of the Central Vacuum makes installation easy and saves homeowners space," says Reick-Mitrisin.

Quieter than other central vacuums, the new NuTone Central Vacuum features an internal sound suppression system that greatly reduces motor noise. The motor baffle also helps to reduce fan noise, while cooling airflow at the same time.

NuTone takes central vacuum technology to a new level, Reick-Mitrisin explains, with a uniquely shaped, patent-pending air chamber that increases vacuuming efficiency.

"With this new model, we've incorporated a direct access panel that makes it easy to monitor the self-sealing bag or the cyclonic filter, depending on the version chosen. There's also a state-of-the-art control board on the 550 and 1000 models that provide a quick way to check the status of the debris pail," says Reick-Mitrisin.

The cyclonic version features the tap-n-clear HEPA cyclonic filter, which never needs to be replaced. By simply tapping on the top of the filter, homeowners are able to restore the filter to good-as-new status. For homeowners that select the bagged version, the fact that bags are self-sealing and easy to change will be appreciated.

"Our new bags and filters feature HEPA-rated media for better filtration and cleaner air, Teflon(r) anti-stick coating to reduce the sticking of dirt to filtration media, which helps reduce the loss of power over time, and Microban(r) Antimicrobial Product Protection to inhibit the potential growth of odor causing microbes in the bag and the growth of microbes that can cause fouling of the cyclonic filter's surface," says Reick-Mitrisin.

One of the major conveniences of a central vacuum is the infrequent removal of the debris collected in the bags or by way of a cyclonic filter into the pail. A typical family of four will empty their central vacuum's debris pail on average only twice a year, allowing for the increased potential of odors and microbial growth.

"The exclusive incorporation of Microban protection into NuTone central vacuum bags and cyclonic filters provides an added level of cleanliness," states Reick-Mitrisin. "And, Microban protection is engineered to last the life of the bag or filter."

Homeowners also will like the fact that both versions feature an easy-on/easy-off pail that takes the struggle out of removing, emptying and reinstalling the debris pail. The pail securely snaps in place without any twisting or turning.

Available in both bagged and cyclonic versions, the NuTone Central Vacuum allows homeowners to choose a model most appropriate for their home based on space and cleaning needs. Both versions are available in 475, 550 and 1,040 airwatt models for homes up to 12,000 square feet. (Airwatts represent the standard vacuum power measurement of waterlift and airflow.) NuTone Central Vacuums are available at specialty vacuum retailers. Depending on the model chosen, the tank price ranges from $400 to $925 MSLP (manufacturer suggested list price) uninstalled.
