Control4 Introduces New Low Voltage Keypad Power Supply; Provides Cost-Saving Installation Solution For Dealers (20/10/2006)

CEDIA US Expo 2006

Control4, the leader in affordable home automation and entertainment solutions, today announced the release of the Low Voltage Keypad Power Supply, which will be unveiled at the 2006 CEDIA Expo (booth #634). This unique product enables dealers to have even more freedom when integrating Control4 products into a variety of home automation systems.

The Low Voltage Keypad Power Supply enables Control4 2-Button, 3-Button, 6-Button, and LCD keypads to be easily installed in a variety of low voltage scenarios. Control4 keypad devices have been designed for power support from both line voltage (120V AC) and low voltage (36V AC) power, providing maximum flexibility for Control4 integrators.

"The new Low Voltage Keypad Power Supply is part of Control4's overall initiative to offer integrators as many options as possible," said Eric Smith, Chief Technical Officer, Control4. "The ability to use multiple wiring configurations will present dealers with greater flexibility in providing home automation solutions to consumers."

By utilizing this new power supply, Control4 keypads can be easily installed in place of legacy audio system controls, taking advantage of existing CAT5 or other control wiring for power. Control communication will continue to be transmitted via the ZigBee wireless mesh network, integral to the Control4 system.

Control4's Low Voltage Power Supply plans to ship in the fourth quarter of 2006 and will retail for $39.95 MSRP.
