Middle Atlantic Products Introduces New Solutions for Effective Space, Cable, Thermal and Power Management (9/10/2006)

Underscoring its ability to provide simple, unique solutions for any size home AV system, Middle Atlantic Products is showcasing its entire line of new and improved products and accessories at CEDIA 2006. Designed to make installation and integration easier, these products and accessories comprise a number of Middle Atlantic Products' unique solutions, including slide-out and rotating racks as well as thermostatically controlled cooling products - all of which incorporate the company's more than 25 years of experience and direct dialogue with contractors in the custom residential market.

Middle Atlantic Products designs and manufactures with the goal of saving its installers time and money with high-quality products that address the four essential disciplines when creating a functional, fully integrated enclosure system: space, cable, thermal and power management. Any well-designed home AV enclosure system should neatly house all of a customer's components without occupying a lot of space. While an enclosure in a cabinet or closet will have a nice appearance, it might not leave integrators with the space needed for servicing components. Enclosures such as Middle Atlantic Products' AXS Slide Out Rack System for larger AV systems and SRSR Slide Out Rotating Rack Series enclosures for small to mid sized AV systems slide out and rotate so that integrators still have uninhibited rear access to an enclosure system, regardless of where it is installed.

Once the components have been installed, each cable then needs to be attended to. Simple features, such as the SRSR Slide Out Rotating Rack Series' ability to lock at various angles in the 'out' position, let Middle Atlantic Products customers work quickly and efficiently when installing or servicing multiple cable runs. Other accessories, such as vertical lacing strips, horizontal lacing bars, and Middle Atlantic Products' new Telescoping Lacer Bar System, which can be adjusted to fit any enclosure, ensure that even the largest AV systems have organized cable runs, preventing damage from cable strain and making future maintenance and/or expansion easier.

When housing newer cable and satellite TV boxes in an enclosure, heat can quickly become a major detriment to system reliability. Middle Atlantic Products addresses thermal management by manufacturing racks that provide adequate ventilation, and accessories that facilitate active ventilation, including the new, thermostatically controlled Quiet Cool Series' cooling products and the intelligent Ultra Quiet Fan Panels.

Middle Atlantic Products also manufactures versatile power solutions that afford integrators the ability to meet a variety of power requirements with a single product. PDT Series Configurable Thin Power Strips measure less than an inch deep, saving valuable enclosure space, and are field configurable for single or dual circuits, and isolated or non-isolated ground, providing power distribution flexibility inside enclosure systems.
