Monster(r) is proud to announce the debut of its Monster Central(r) Controllers and IlluminEssence(tm) Lighting System Switches, Dimmers and Lighting Controller, a new generation of products that will re-define whole home control. Monster will feature its new Central Controllers and IlluminEssence(tm) Lighting System at the 2006 CEDIA Expo, held in Denver from Sept. 14-17 at the Colorado Convention Center, booth 113.

Combining unmatched operational power with simple web-based setup and personalization, the Monster AVL300 and AV100 Controllers can master even the most sophisticated home entertainment systems, yet are friendly enough for the entire family to use. Additionally, the AVL 300 along with IlluminEssense Lighting System products make it possible to intricately control lighting throughout the entire house AND integrate the lighting and home theater experience with a single touch, 1-button, lifestyle scene solution.

Two Different Models for Flexible Applications

Monster's flagship system controller, the AVL300 is a multi-room unit that works through walls, ceilings and floors, thanks to its built-in RF wireless technology. This feature gives consumers whole-house control, even for multi-zone systems. Additionally, the AVL300 is a powerful lighting controller. Using Monster's IlluminEssence lighting modules, the AVL300 can create customized lighting "scenes" that are integrated with home theater equipment to accompany chosen lifestyle scenes, such as "Romantic Dinner," with dimmed lights and soft music! All of these lighting functions are possible without the need for a professional programmer. The AV100 shares the same main functionalities of its more powerful sibling, without the RF and lighting capabilities. It features extra-wide IR broadcast to ensure control, and offers simple, one-touch access to customized Activities and preferences, working with virtually all equipment that is IR-controlled.

Both the Monster Central Control AVL300 and AV100 share a unique operational philosophy that makes individual home entertainment components work in concert, rather than as separate devices. Both also share a host of advanced setup, customization and maintenance features that elevate them far beyond ordinary remotes.

Activity-Based Control sends complex strings of commands to all necessary components with the touch of a single button. Users choose simple, plain-English Activities like "Play a DVD" and "Listen to Satellite Radio." The remotes then automatically power the correct components, set all the correct inputs, and adjust themselves to the user's preferences -- all with one-button control!

Web-Based Setup and Configuration couldn't be simpler for the consumer. Users access the Monster Central Control online wizard and simply enter the brand and model numbers of their equipment, and answer simple questions from the wizard. The Monster Configurator then downloads the proper control codes from all the gear into the remote via a supplied USB cable. There's no "teaching" or "learning" needed, and users can easily add or subtract new components, or create new Activities at any time.

Extensive Personalization and Customization allows consumers to create custom "palettes" for easy access to favorite picture and sound functions. Users can also personalize their Monster Controller with custom graphics, photos and slide shows.

Total Convenience and Ease of Operation make both the ALV300 and AV100 the most exciting new remotes on the market. Both feature illuminated, backlit buttons that make operation simple, even in a darkened room. Both also feature a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and an attractive tabletop charging station that allows the remote to be used while charging.. Users can update, optimize or alter their preferences anytime, by simply returning to the Monster Central Control website and entering the changes. A huge database of constantly updated codes ensures compatibility with virtually all IR-controllable equipment.

Advanced System Control and Scalability allows the AVL 300S to work as a system for multi-zone, multiple system control. With Monster's System Tracking Memory built into the Monster OmniLink, 5 AVL300 controllers can control up to 5 AV systems and zones throughout the home.
