Algolith Introduces Serial Option for the Mosquito
HDMI and Flea HDMI Home Theater Video Enhancers (6/10/2006)
CEDIA US Expo 2006
New Installer-Friendly Accessory Makes Innovative
Video Image Enhancers Compatible with Home Automation Systems
Algolith, a leading developer of video image
enhancement solutions, introduces a new Serial Option for its popular
Mosquito HDMI(tm) and Flea HDMI(tm) Home Theater Video Enhancers
at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA)
Expo 2006, beginning here today.
The Serial Option is a small accessory module
designed to allow the Mosquito HDMI and Flea HDMI to be controlled
by Home Automation systems like those produced by Crestron, AMX
and other manufacturers. Control is achieved through the USB port,
which both components possess. The Serial Option module includes
a Serial, or RS-2322, connection, a USB port, and a power input.
An important aspect of the Serial Option is that it provides bi-directional
communication, which is vital for large systems in which the monitoring
and polling of system components is required.
Use of the Serial Option is completely transparent
to the performance of both the Mosquito HDMI and Flea HDMI, and
enables installers to seamlessly integrate them into the control
or automation routines of sophisticated home entertainment systems.
The Mosquito HDMI is a powerful, advanced
video processor designed to reduce image noise on digital and HD
video signals without any loss of detail for exceptionally sharp,
noise-free images. It achieves this using a variety of image-processing
techniques that allows users to instantly experience an improvement
in picture quality.
The Flea HDMI is a small, unobtrusive, video
processor designed to dramatically improve the picture quality of
compressed Standard Definition and High Definition images. Weighing
less than one pound and equal in size to a paperback novel, the
Flea HDMI upgrades Algolith's groundbreaking original Flea with
the addition of an HDMI input.
Both the Mosquito HDMI and Flea HDM also
include the new edition, Version 2.0, of Algolith's Operating Software,
which represents a major advance in performance, rendering both
components more efficient and effective, while lending a more accurate
quality to their reproduction. Both components are essential systems
addition for serious Home Theater enthusiasts.
The new Serial Option is available now from
authorized Algolith dealers at a suggested retail price of $495.
It can be seen with Algolith's other outstanding products in Booth
375, Colorado Convention Center, during the show.
