Algolith Upgrades Operating Core for Its Popular
Home Theater Video Enhancers (6/10/2006)

New Version 2.0 Heightens Effectiveness and
Efficiency Of Mosquito and Mosquito HDMI(tm)
Algolith, a leading developer of video image
enhancement solutions, announces today it's introduction of a new
version of the software core for its popular Mosquito and Mosquito
HDMI(tm) Home Theater Video Enhancers that heightens the devices'
processing of digital images for reproduction on 42-inch and larger
big-screen displays.
Version 2.0 represents a major advance in
performance, and renders the Mosquito and Mosquito HDMI both more
efficient and effective. It also incorporates a significant improvement
in Block Artifact Reduction (BAR) that will be apparent to all Mosquito
and Flea users. BAR blends and diminishes the inherent 8x8-pixel
block structures of MPEG images that are typically associated with
fast moving images. This improvement is especially important to
IPTV users and those who use personal video recorders to store favorite
shows or movies.
The new software is installation friendly
and available now at the Algolith Web site. It is free of charge
to installers and Mosquito owners.
