PMC making their mark in the hi-end home theatre market (6/10/2006)

CEDIA US Expo 2006

PMC have seen enormous growth in the hi-end CI home theatre markets with installations utilising the largest of the active systems like the MB2 and BB5 in both single and XBD twin cabinet configurations. The trigger for the success is partly due to the exposure gained at CES in January where PMC showcased the large active monitors with DTS in the launch of DTS-HD Master Audio. Added to this publicity there has been an increase in the distribution chain which now includes Just One Touch in LA and the AMI group in Florida who have facilitated three installations in their region alone for high profile clientele from the music and movie industry. In addition, the waferŞ series of in wall and on wall models has also been a contributory factor allowing for ultra discrete rear channel options with the same identical low distortion and wide dispersion characteristics as the main L,C,R with very little visual signature.

Maurice Patist PMC USA, VP Sales & Marketing commented: "We have clients from both the entertainment industry and discerning private individuals who are building bespoke home theatres which have to cater for both movie as well as high resolution surround music playback and our systems handle both with ease". "With further in-wall and CI products projected for 2007, I can see us making further expansion in this sector."
