Armour Home Electronics is pleased to introduce the new 'Splash' television, a very high quality 17" widescreen LCD model, which delivers outstanding picture fidelity and is specifically designed for use in 'high humidity' environments such as bathrooms, kitchens and saunas.

Commenting on the new model, Ashley Hutchinson, AHE's category manager with special responsibility for the new 'Splash' range said; "To be taken seriously, every new television must deliver excellent picture and sound, and the new Splash model excels in this respect. However, for a bathroom model, normally operating in very hot and wet environments, there are three special requirements which must also be met."

Hutchinson continued: "First and foremost there is electrical safety; consumers must be completely protected, even in the most unlikely of circumstances. Secondly there is reliability, which primarily means protecting the TV from the ingress of water; and lastly visibility, preventing condensation covering the screen, because the picture must remain perfect, no matter how hot you like your bath or shower!"

Hutchinson concluded: "The new Splash model comfortably fulfils all three criteria; the screen is powered using an ultra safe 12volt supply, it is completely water tight, being sealed both front and back, to meet all current wet room electrical regulations (IP66) and even boasts a heated screen, so the picture always stays free from condensation."

For both space and safety reasons, the Splash TV is designed to be 'built-in' to an appropriate wall. Needless to say, this work must be undertaken by qualified personnel, however innovative and unique design makes this installation process exceptionally quick and easy.

The Splash TV is supplied with a water resistant remote control and is available now, in both black and white finish, from authorised dealers throughout the UK.

The TV has a suggested retail price of £1,650 including vat.
