Next-Generation Lighting Solutions Speed
Programming, Installation
AMX(r), a worldwide leader in advanced control
system technology, today unveiled its next-generation, full-feature
lighting family - the Radia Eclipse(tm) Series. The first products
introduced in the new line are dimmer modules that will make configuring,
integrating and installing lighting with AMX control systems easier
than ever. AMX is showcasing its new lighting modules in booth number
146 at CEDIA Expo 2006, which is being held in Denver Sept. 14 -
17.
The Radia Eclipse Dimmer Module 4 (RE-DM4)
supports four traditional dimmers and two specialty dimmers, while
the Radia Eclipse Dimmer Module 6 (RE-DM6) supports six traditional
dimmers. In total, the new AMX lighting system can support up to
768 dimmers - a more than eight fold increase over the previous
generation Radia lighting solution. With this additional capacity,
the Radia Eclipse Series can handle the lighting needs of nearly
any indoor or outdoor space.
"With the Radia Eclipse Series, AMX is making
it easier than ever to program and install lighting, because we
have transformed complex lighting requirements into simplified,
cost-effective solutions," said Robert Noble, AMX's vice president
of product management. "From programming to procurement, the Radia
Eclipse Series simplifies lighting for AMX dealers."
The Radia Eclipse Dimmer Modules are:
* Easier to integrate. The modules are native
NetLinx(r) devices designed to interface with AMX's full line of
residential products. * Easier to program. The modules are also
native VisualArchitect devices. Simply drag and drop the desired
lighting module into the customer's system, and VisualArchitect
will automatically generate the NetLinx code. * Easier to configure.
Lighting presets can be saved and reused in multiple zones within
the same structure/campus, as well as other customer installations.
* Easier to install. The modules communicate with the NetLinx Controller
via the AXLink control network.
The new Radia Eclipse Dimmer Modules also
offer greater processing power than the previous generation, enabling
the modules to recall lighting presets almost instantly. The RE-DM4
and RE-DM6 are RoHS compliant and are available in both 120 and
240 Volt Alternating Current (VAC) for domestic and international
installations. Both modules can be used with any of AMX's full line
of user interfaces - Mio Modero Keypads and Handheld Remotes, as
well as its flagship Modero Touch Panels.
Availability
The RE-DM4 and RE-DM6 will be available by
December 2006.
