Media Entertainment Servers Recognized for
Top Tier Performance and Quality Imaging
CodexNovus Inc., innovators of stand-alone
and networked media player and server technologies, today announced
that its media players (HDcodex DML-200, DML-1000, and DML-1600)
have received Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) certification. With
ISF certification, the company's media storage devices meet the
metrics and specifications that define the very best video performance
available for consumers. Since 1994, ISF has provided comprehensive
testing and certification of performance quality, and a publicly
recognized logo program to high-end consumer electronics products
that consumers identify with superior quality.
"We are proud to show off our high-end video
capabilities," said Rich Borovec, vice president of engineering
for CodexNovus. "ISF's comprehensive testing identifies high performance
video products. Receiving this certification signifies our products
are among the best in the industry."
ISF certification guides consumers to the
very best hardware and software for home entertainment systems.
All CodexNovus devices run on the company's proprietary HDcodex
software configuration, which deliver the reliability necessary
for today's demanding home theater environments. These products
are designed for artifact-free film and sports viewing, superb color
fidelity and quiet operation. ISF services include detailed measurement
of video processing for TV, DVD and high-definition content to ensure
the highest customer expectations are met.
"ISF CodexNovus certification is proof that
properly designed digital video products need not sacrifice image
quality for server based operational convenience. The audio world
has already sacrificed quality for such convenience - we must be
vigilant to insure that does not happen to HDTV owners," said Joel
Silver, president of the Imaging Science Foundation. "There are
video servers that dealers already know hold back HDTV performance."
CodexNovus offers three different media servers
available to consumers, the DML-200 (250 Gigabyte), DML-1000 (1
Terabyte) and DML-1600 (1.5 Terabyte). They all have been designed
to elevate the quality of video playback by providing SD and HD
video at resolutions of up to 1080p. These products offer unparalleled
flexibility and configuration options that support a wide range
of media files. To complete the home theater experience they deliver
multi-channel 5.1 and 7.1 high-resolution digital audio capabilities.
Instantaneous access to all digital media content is achieved using
the elegant and easy to use HDcodex interface.
