Asheridge Launches Key Digital HD Connection and
Processing Range (25/9/2006)
Asheridge Communications, the specialist
provider of audio visual, testing, home networking, and interconnection
solutions, has launched the US manufactured Key Digital range of
Digital HD processing units. The Key Digital range is made up of
the iSync HD(tm) and iSync Pro(tm), digital video scaling processors
with video/audio switching units, and the HD Xplorer(tm): a digital
video plug-in card and processor for the 42 MXE10 and 50 MXE 10
series Pioneer plasma displays. All the Key Digital devices automatically
convert HD sources to match a plasma display's resolution using
just one cable and without the need for a dedicated media box. The
HD Xplorer will provide an easy upgrade path to provide 4 HDMI inputs
and component inputs.
The Key Digital iSync HD(tm) and iSync Pro(tm)
are compact, flexible and easy to use units, featuring multiple
I/O ports which installers can use to connect a variety of video
sources to a display, and audio sources to a multi-room audio system.
They use a state-of-the-art digital video processor to match interlaced
and progressive-scan video from a DVD player, satellite TV receiver,
Set Top Box, or VHS tape player to the native resolution of a display,
producing high quality images.
The HD Xplorer(tm) features four digital
HDMI digital inputs, (as well as multiple analogue inputs) and,
like the iSync units, benefits from Key Digital's Clear Matrix Pro
(r) and SDS (Super Digital Scaling) technology to ensure that the
display's native resolution is precisely matched. The HD Xplorer(tm)
is designed to work with the PDP-504CMX and PDP-434CMX plasma screen
models from Pioneer, and enables installers to provide direct connection
of home cinema video components.
The iSync HD(tm), iSync Pro(tm), and HD Xplorer(tm)
are all capable of converting the most popular video sources for
the target display, and support all popular HD and SD source formats
and resolutions (480i, 480p, 576i, 576p, 720p, and 1080i) at 60
Hz and 50 Hz (with auto selection), plus NTSC and PAL. All units
in the Key Digital range are compatible with a variety of digital
and analog video input and output formats, including HDMI with HDCP,
Component Video (YPbPr), Composite, and S-Video. The units also
allow users to precisely adjust the display picture using the front-panel
pushbuttons and display, or the intuitive IR remote control included.
All are fully upgradable, and so represent scalable solutions for
the installers to offer their customers.
