Niles Introduces iWare: Share and Update iPod Songs
and Playlists from Anywhere in the Home (21/9/2006)
CEDIA US Expo 2006
The First Name in Custom Installation(r)
unveils new iPod extension solutions at CEDIA EXPO 2006
Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in
Custom Installation(r), announced today the release of iWARE(r)
- a new line of iPod(r) connectivity solutions for the home. The
line will be unveiled for the custom installation industry for the
first time at CEDIA EXPO in Denver this September.
The iWARE line includes SmartDock(tm), an
iPod docking/charging station that integrates with existing AV systems
and allows users to enjoy their iPod music libraries from anywhere
in their home. SmartDock also syncs to iTunes(r) with the touch
of a button - giving users the ability to update their iPod with
new songs and podcasts without having to disconnect the iPod from
their AV systems.
The iWARE line also includes the ES1 Extender
System, which extends iPod connectivity to whole-house AV systems
from virtually anywhere in the house via small, inconspicuous wall
plate connections. The ES1 Extender System preserves the signal
quality and 2-way iPod menu navigation already set up with existing
whole house AV control systems. The ES1 serves as a great companion
with Niles' IntelliControl(r) ICS whole house audio system.
Niles' iWARE line provides installers with
a flexible and cost-effective solution that allows for quick and
easy integration of the iPod line into existing AV systems. And
iWARE is backed by Niles, the First Name in Custom Installation,
so integrators can expect smooth, natural sound and seamless integration
with other AV products - long-held hallmarks of the Niles brand.
"We are excited to add the new iWARE brand
to the Niles family of whole house audio solutions," said Frank
Sterns, president of Niles Audio Corp. "The line extends the capabilities
and functions of the iPod, and is a great addition to any AV setup.
We are confident iWARE will provide an exciting new revenue source
for our dealers."
The iWARE line will begin shipping in October
2006.
