Sonesse - A New Quiet Convenience by Somfy Enhances the Consumer Lifestyle (20/9/2006)

CEDIA US Expo 2006

Sonesse (tm) the latest introduction to the Somfy motor family, is putting roller shades, roman shades and wood blinds into motion with quiet precision. The new motor range which received the 2006 Most Innovative Overall Design WCMA award is designed with all the Somfy quality components, but now features superior noise reduction technology. From a distance of 3 feet, Sonesse(tm) is barely heard, creating a peaceful environment for consumers to enjoy.

Available in two sizes, the new motor range is capable of automating window coverings up to 35lbs. The ultra compact Sonesse(tm) 30 is easily concealed within headrails and smaller pocket sizes. Sonesse(tm) 50 is consistent with the current Somfy 500 series platform and is ideal for larger size window covering applications.

A variety of control options, are available including Radio Technology Somfy (r) (RTS) which allow for control of individual window coverings or groups of window coverings from the same transmitter. And, the new motors are capable of adjusting to precise intermediate positions for increased control flexibility.

The Sonesse(tm) range is also easily integrated with automation systems and with simplified plug in wiring, simple to install. And, as with all Somfy products, the new Sonesse motors are backed by a 5 year warranty.
