News DTS Showcases Next Gen Audio at CEDIA Expo 2006 (11/9/2006) Booth 249, CEDIA US Expo 2006 DTS a digital technology company dedicated to delivering the ultimate entertainment experience, will showcase the state of the art in high definition surround sound for HD DVD and Blu-ray. DTS is in the standards for both of these much anticipated next generation DVD formats. The company will be on hand to answer questions about these new formats as well as demonstrate its technology. DTS recently unveiled a three-tiered system of audio solutions for the next generation HD DVD and Blu-ray Discs formats. The naming system is a scalable architecture that can support a variety of different quality levels in a single stream. Designed to provide flexibility for content providers and immediate audio improvement with existing home theater equipment, the solution entails a series of new logos that communicate the varying quality levels to consumers: DTS-HD Master Audio, for sound bit-for-bit
