News Windy City Wire Expands Product Line (1/9/2006) CEDIA US Expo 2006 Windy City Wire has expanded their product line in effort to include more products and services to home automation integrators. These new SmartWire products include wire and cable of lighting elements, network and automation, and video. The availability of the new Home Automation products at Windy City Wire allows for high-end quality installations. The new lighting cables includes Lutron Homeworks: Power, Keypad, Vareo, Sivoia, and Vantage Control. The network automation items include Keypad and Volume Control, Elan Via, and Touch Panel Control. Component Video with Category 5e, Miniature Solid Component Video, High Definition Coax, and Plenum Broadband Coax are the elements included in Video. Windy City Wire has been operating for 12 years. Their flagship product is SmartWire(TM), which is a low-voltage wire and cable product that has the qualities of a tape measure, tester, toner and a label maker. Windy City Wire serves many types of system contractors including: Security, Access Control, CCTV, Fire Alarm, and Home Automation.
