Lagotek Seeks Additional Dealers as Price Descends
to a Tipping point Where Home Automation Becomes Affordable to the
Majority of Homeowners (31/8/2006)
Booth 2010, CEDIA US Expo 2006
Lagotek seeks both domestic and international
dealers.
To prepare for the surge in home automation
demand, Lagotek Corporation is expanding its current network of
domestic and international dealers. Lagotek's unique dual wireless
technology has finally brought home automation into a price range
that most homeowners can afford. "Home automation will become a
major profit center for CEDIA dealers in 2007 and beyond. Major
homebuilders are beginning to offer home automation as an option
for their customers," says Lagotek's president Ron Risdon. "Standards
are becoming mature. We and more than 100 other companies are supporting
the Z-Wave wireless home automation standard."
Lagotek is inviting Dealer/Installers to
contact Lagotek directly or visit at the company's booth during
CEDIA EXPO 2006, Sept. 14-17 in booth 2010 at the Colorado Convention
Center in Denver.
Dealer's Business Grows
"My company has served commercial as well
as residential builders and homeowners in the Seattle area for over
15 years," points out Phil Rohmer, owner of Power Consultants, a
Seattle dealer/installer. "I had been looking for an opportunity
to expand our business model into home automation. But, previous
smart home technology always required more computer science skills
than we wanted to address. Lagotek has provided a wireless whole-home
control platform that is extremely powerful in terms of best quality
features, but is also very easy to install, configure and support.
Basically, if you can navigate and understand Microsoft Windows
at the user level, you'll have no trouble installing and supporting
Lagotek systems. Most important to us is that these features come
at a very affordable price for our customers. Homeowners are thrilled
with Lagotek's technology, and my business is booming."
"Home automation is driving a parallel path
to that of the personal computer industry during its early days
in the 1980s," says Eugene Luskin, CEO of Lagotek. "Industry-wide
standards are being adopted. A wide array of companies are buying
in to the standards. There is no question that homeowners desire
the technology. We need the industry's top dealer/installers to
make the technology available everywhere. That's where CEDIA comes
in."
It all Starts With the Home Intelligence
Platform
The heart of the system is the Home Intelligence
Platform. The software-based platform includes basic features for
whole home control of:
" Climate control with multiple zones of
heating and air conditioning
" Lighting
" LED Lighting for interior decoration
" Distributed audio
" Video Surveillance
" Irrigation
" Security
Designed with the needs of the homeowners
in mind and advised by interior designers the system is incredibly
intuitive to operate and provides a single interface between people
and technologies.
"I expect home automation to experience explosive
growth over the next few years," notes Ron Risdon. "We have developed
a very attractive dealer program, so we can partner with the best
dealer/installers in the industry. With our system ready for mass
acceptance, qualified dealer/installers will find a very lucrative
ground-floor opportunity."
