Linear Introduces the AE-100 Telephone Entry System (21/8/2006)

Feature-rich telephone entry system is ideal for smaller sites with up to 125 tenants.

For smaller commercial telephone entry installations, Linear has developed the AE-100. The new system supports 125 directory or personal entry codes, eliminating the need for ongoing incremental memory upgrades to add tenants. This generous "as standard" capacity makes the AE-100 very attractive, especially since it has a features package typical of much larger systems.

Installers will find the AE-100 easy to install and service thanks to a host of thoughtful design details. All programming can be done locally through the keypad. The AE-100 can also be programmed remotely using a touchtone telephone. Up to four units can be connected via one shared telephone line, and when records need to be updated, they can be transferred from a single location rather than making changes to each unit on the network.

The AE-100 is housed in a locked, vandal-resistant, stainless steel faced enclosure with many distinctive features, including: an easy-to-read, 2-line-by-16-character, backlit LCD display; a large, numeric keypad illuminated by long-life white LEDs; centralized call, help, and directory scrolling buttons; a built-in microphone; and a tamper-resistant speaker. There is an ADA compliant, front panel TTY jack for the hearing impaired and voice greetings available in four languages: English, Spanish, French Canadian, and Portuguese. The AE-100 is listed to UL294 and Canada C22.2 No. 205-M1983 and complies with FCC Part 15 for computing device and FCC part 68 for telephone device.

The enclosure can be either flush or surface mounted and is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. A postal lock can be easily added to the unit. The AE-100 also features 12-Volt battery back-up and an exclusive load-shedding feature that prevents battery damage under low voltage conditions. Options include a trim ring for flush/recess mounting and a field upgradeable, color CCTV camera (Linear Model CCM-1).
