Klipsch Completely Overhauls klipsch.com (18/8/2006)
New corporate web site offers improved navigation,
readability and imagery
In keeping with its dedication to consumers
and getting new audiences excited about high-performance audio,
Klipsch will re-launch its corporate web site on September 1 to
better serve the goal-oriented visitor who desires content quickly
and easily.
"Consumers use the Internet as their first
option for researching products and services. In fact, we discovered
that 68 percent of our site traffic last year was product research
related," said Cris Pyle, Klipsch director of marketing and communications.
"With that in mind, we put a lot of time and effort into making
the site more efficient so that our online visitors can easily access
the information they need to make solid purchase decisions."
Klipsch.com enhancements include: straightforward
navigation; a wider screen format and larger imagery to accommodate
high-resolution browsers; a white background with dark text for
improved readability; microcontent such as headings, subheads and
bulleted lists for at-a-glance overviews; better programming for
faster downloads and optimization within search engines; more accessible
customer service information and U.S. MSRP pricing on all products.
Additionally, as Klipsch expands its footprint
outside of the United States, it is also working to make itself
more available to a global audience. Therefore, Spanish-, French-,
German-, Italian-, and Portuguese-speaking consumers can now obtain
product and dealer locator information in their native language
from klipsch.com, with Chinese following soon.
"We want consumers all over the world to
learn about our products and understand the incredible legacy of
the Klipsch brand," said Pyle. "People are always craving more information
and our retooled site certainly makes it easier for us to deliver
it to them."
