Grado release new £1000 ultra high quality 'Statement' headphones (14/8/2006)

Grado, the award winning headphone and cartridge manufacturer, is pleased to announce the release of its new 'Statement' GS1000 top-of-the-range stereo headphones.

Grado Labs President, John Grado stated: "The new GS1000 was shown for the very first time at the International Head-Fi Convention in New York City. The response was just phenomenal. The Grado Statement GS1000 has been on the drawing board for sometime, and we have to admit that this is our finest effort to date."

Mr Grado continued: "This new headphone incorporates a redesigned drive unit, a new and larger wooden housing and much larger foam cushions that are extremely comfortable. The new cushion design on the GS1000 actually creates a "listening room" for the ears, creating a larger soundstage and greater spatial experience for the user."

Achieving the correct design balance between the revised drive unit and the new wooden driver housing has been of paramount importance in delivering the ultimate sonic performance that Grado desired. The company is completely confident they have accomplished their goal and as well as 'jaw-dropping' sound quality, the new GS1000 is one of the most comfortable headphones on the market today.

Whilst achieving all the above, The GS1000 retains a sound that is pure Grado, rich full-bodied vocals, excellent dynamics and an ultra smooth top end. The presentation is very detailed, the bass is deep and the music is very tight and non-fatiguing. All with a soundstage that is huge, allowing for unbelievable separation and layering of the music. The result is simply stunning.

The Grado GS1000 headphones are priced at £995 per pair including vat and are available now from authorised Grado dealers throughout the UK.
