Panamax Adds MAX 7500-Pro to its Pro Line of Power
Conditioning Products (7/8/2006)
CEDIA US Expo 2006
The newest addition to the Panamax Pro Line
is the MAX 7500-PRO. It delivers significantly improved picture
and sound quality for a wide variety of audio-visual applications.
The key enhancements include remote diagnostics (IP-ready with optional
Ethernet card), ground lift, advanced filtration, voltage regulation,
balanced power, Automatic Voltage Monitoring (AVM), additional high-current
outlets, auto-dimming meters, Cable Access Television (CATV), Telephone,
and Local Area Network (LAN) protections, as well as 12-volt trigger,
USB light, and rack ears.
Audio/video components are constantly being
bombarded by electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency
interference (RFI) through their power cords. This contaminated
power can affect analog and digital equipment and will degrade the
overall performance of entire systems. Digital components can also
introduce noise on their alternating current (AC) power lines, which
can interfere with the performance of analog components. Common
symptoms of contaminated power include pops, hisses, hums, visual
artifacts, etc. Most power filtering devices will remove some of
this interference but do not provide a comprehensive solution to
the problem. The MAX(r) 7500 Pro's power filtration system provides
a complete solution to address this.
The heart of the MAX(r) 7500 Pro's filtration
is a 720VA isolation transformer that provides power for digital
source components or displays. AC regeneration through electromagnetic
coupling between the primary and secondary windings of the transformer
allows only clean, pure AC power to reach equipment. No EMI or RFI
contamination is able to get past the isolation transformer. In
addition, any noise generated by digital source components is isolated
and prevented from reaching key audio or video components over power
cords.
