Crestron says, 'Let there be light' at 100%LIGHT! (31/7/2006)

As a leader in high-end whole-house automation technology, Crestron understands that the use and control of lighting can transform a home. For the first time, Crestron will feature its complete line of lighting control solutions at 100% Light. The CLX Series and the iLux(tm) CLS-C6 lighting control packages will take their place alongside Crestron's Total Home Technology solutions to demonstrate the benefits of integrating lighting with other home technology.

Crestron lighting control is designed for a variety of circuit configurations and luminaire types to give the lighting designer and custom installer the flexibility of choice. Any Crestron processor may be used whether existing or as a satnd alone lighting processor.

Dimming Modules

Crestron lighting modules allow the dimming of all types of lighting for total flexibility in design. Crestron offers the unique CLX-2DIM8 module, the CLX-2DIM2 module as well as the traditional CLX-1DIM4 and CLX-1DELV4 modules. There are also switching and motor control modules. This range of options ensures that the perfect solution is available - whatever the installation.

Mounted inside a Crestron automation enclosure, the control modules communicate with the processor via a Cresnet communication link located on each module. Crestron offers the flexibility to have breakers internally or externally to the enclosure.

iLux(tm) CLS-C6

iLux(tm) CLS-C6 offers the ability to individually isolate each circuit allowing dimmers to be configured across several rooms. iLux(tm) CLS-C6 Integrated Zoned Lighting System can control six lighting zones and 6 groups of blinds or curtains. The iLux(tm) CLS-C6 is the ideal lighting control solution for new and retrofit applications, including single room (such as home cinemas) as well as auditoria, boardrooms, and learning environments.

The iLux CLS-C6 is a cost-effective, wall-mount unit featuring built-in dimmer circuits to control six lighting zones. In addition, up to 8 further dimmers may be cascaded to allow control of up to 54 circuits all without the need for a control processor. Use as either a stand alone dimmer or connect to the Cresnet Network to provide control of the system at no extra cost.

The six front-panel 3-position rocker buttons control each zone and provide white-LED feedback. Corresponding 7-segment LED bargraphs offer easy visualization of lighting levels in each zone. A front-panel "Master" button and large "Off" and "On" buttons provide additional lighting system control. Up to 15 scenes for lighting and shades may be pre-programmed for simple, intuitive client use. Fade time and ramp rate are programmable along with various system functions such as scene recall, scene off and master dim control. Each scene may be assigned to individual buttons at setup.
