InfoCommAsia Announces the Postponement of Integrated Systems India (3/7/2006)

InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd (IAPL) announced today that it is postponing Integrated Systems India, a tradeshow jointly sponsored by CEDIA(r), InfoComm International(r) and NSCA(r), which was scheduled to be held at the Pragati Maidan Exhibition Centre November 1-3, 2006. Terry Friesenborg, CTS, InfoComm International's Sr. VP of International Development and recently appointed Managing Director of IAPL made the announcement citing the need to reassess how best to address the commercial and residential AV markets in India. "After extensive discussions with exhibitors and numerous trips to India to meet with members of the industry, government and related associations we believe that the Indian market requires a more creative approach to develop its growing potential," commented Friesenborg. "With a new management team now taking over InfoComm's Asian show portfolio, we felt we could offer our exhibitors a better value if we reworked the format of the event and focused on creating a networking and educational opportunity designed to bring manufacturers, systems integrators and institutional buyers together."

InfoCommAsia will create a series of conference and exhibition events in major business centers across India in the fourth quarter of 2007. These activities will provide application oriented sessions for institutional buyers and specifiers from selected vertical markets as well as offering industry professionals an opportunity to participate in professional development activities. Specific dates and locations will be announced later this year.

"India is an important and growing market for InfoComm International and the association is committed to continuing to provide education and other benefits to its expanding membership base in India," commented Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director of InfoComm International. InfoComm Academy will be offering its first international Installation Technician class in Mumbai this coming September and will follow with a Certification Prep Course in New Delhi in November. InfoComm International now has more than 20 corporate members in India.
