Loewe's Xelos A 42 boasts a striking new design (30/6/2006)

CEDIA UK Expo 2006

Loewe introduces a new, eye-catching design to give the Xelos A42 plasma TV an even more elegant look. The prominent chrome border around its speakers and operating ring made of brushed aluminium emphasise the quality of the flat display panel. The plasma screen is available in a choice of two metallic finishes, Chrome Silver or Anthracite, and comes with elegant speaker grids to complete the impressive look. The Xelos A37 DR+, Xelos A32 DR+ and Xelos A26 LCD TVs will also feature the new design and will be available in the same finishes.

Featuring integrated electronics and a screen diagonal of 42 inches, the Xelos A 42 offers brilliant picture quality (1024 x 1024 pixels) courtesy of Loewe's new DigitalPlus platform and high resolution HD plasma technology. Innovative picture improvement technologies such as Diagonal Contour Control and Luminance Transition Improvement optimise the picture quality of Xelos A42 to deliver sharp, flicker-free screen images for an unbeatable home cinema experience.

A variant of the Xelos A 42 is available with Loewe DR+, including the new highlight function. The digital hard-disc memory integrated into the set records up to 100 continuous hours of a programme, whether it's pre-programmed or actually during the programme in transmission. So, consumers can pause a programme whenever they want and continue viewing it later without losing any information.

Furthermore, thanks to the new Loewe replay function, all it takes is one touch of the green button on the remote control to save personal highlights. The 30 seconds leading up to and 30 seconds following a scene will automatically be recorded so users can, for example, record goals in a football match for replay during halftime or at the end of a match. And, with `Picture in Picture' (PIP), consumers can even play back the highlights without missing any of the match in progress.

The Xelos A 42 is `HD Ready` and can display high definition pictures, whilst the HDMI provides high definition playback quality of digital picture and sound signals. Operation of the Xelos plasma is easy thanks to a newly developed on-screen menu, the Loewe Assist+. The new menu is clearly structured, giving the user quick access to settings such as sound and picture adjustment. There is an integrated digital decoder and integrated Freeview tuner.

Available from authorised Loewe dealers, the striking new design of the Xelos A 42 is complemented by a variety of placement options. These include a tabletop stand, an elegant wall solution or the Loewe Xelos Rack, making the screen an eye catcher in any room.
