Extron Introduces New MGP 464 Four Window Multi-Graphic
Processor (30/6/2006)
CEDIA UK Expo 2006
Anaheim, California (20 June 2006) - Extron
Electronics is pleased to announce the MGP 464, a Four Window Multi-Graphic
Processor for picture-in-picture display of HDTV and high resolution
computer-video graphics or PAL/NTSC video sources. The MGP 464 accepts
up to 19 input sources and features a true 19x4 input matrix switcher
that allows any source to be displayed in any or all four available
on-screen windows. The MGP 464 is ideal for use in sophisticated
residential environments that can benefit from a wide variety of
applications with multiple images shown on the same screen.
"The MGP 464 delivers outstanding performance
and flexibility that enables integrators to create custom picture-in-picture
displays of up to four images for many residential applications,"
says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. "It can
be configured to display virtually any combination of HDTV, computer-video,
or standard definition video sources, and can even serve as a sophisticated
central video switcher in a high-end home theater system."
The MGP 464 features four fully configurable
inputs that accept all popular video formats, from HDTV up to 1080p,
to S-video and composite video. In addition, Virtual Video Inputs
are available for integrating up to 15 standard definition video
sources including security cameras and legacy products such as VCRs.
These inputs, which can be configured to accept various combinations
of composite, S-video, and component video signals, free up the
four configurable inputs for integrating high resolution HDTV sources
or PCs. For DVI or HDMI sources such as HD set-top boxes and DVD
players, the MGP 464 DI is available with four DVI inputs.
The MGP 464 also features simultaneous analog
and DVI outputs for HDTV component video or RGB up to 1080p. Full
front panel controls are provided for comprehensive, integrator
and user-friendly access to all functions. For interfacing with
home automation systems, the MGP 464 can be remotely configured
and controlled via RS-232 serial control, or Ethernet through the
integrated IP Link(R) Web server. Also included is Windows(R) control
software which provides a graphic user interface to ease set-up
and operation of the MGP 464.
