NetStreams Announces Launch of Designer "Skins" For
DigiLinX Graphical User Interface (23/6/2006)
CEDIA UK Expo 2006
Designer "skins" to be unveiled at CEDIA
Expo 2006, Excel, London, 20-22nd June 2006.
NetStreams(r), the global leader in networked
entertainment systems based on Internet protocol (IP) technology,
is announcing new standard and designer "Skins" for its DigiLinX(tm)
IP-Based Multi-Room Audio and Control system.
Used to change the look, feel and appearance
of its graphical user interface available on its TouchLinX touch
screens or on web browser interface (PC, PDA); NetStreams has developed
a number of different skins to be released with a new version of
its DigiLinX Dealer Set up program. UK distributor, Invision has
confirmed that the standard skins will be available at no charge,
and the designer skins will be available free of charge for a limited
time period.
Both the Standard and Designer "Skins" will
be available at the end of June to NetStreams DigiLinX Accredited
dealers and showcase at CEDIA Expo 2006, ExCeL, London, from 20-22nd
June. In addition, all the latest new products from NetStreams will
be unveiled on their UK distributor, Invision on stand number B14.
"Dealers can now personalise the consumers'
whole house audio system with a different user interface in each
room by just selecting the one they want to use in the DigiLinX
Dealer Set up Programme," said Herman Cardenas, NetStreams' Founder
and CEO.
He added: "Now custom installers do not need
to have a sophisticated graphical user interface designer on staff.
Not only is NetStreams offering its user interface skins with the
traditional button layout, we have also incorporated fun designer
styles, such as golf ball buttons for dad, Monet for mum and a variety
of child-friendly interfaces for the kids bedrooms. "Since DigiLinX
is a completely IP-Based, the system lends itself to unprecedented
flexibility and ease of use," commented Cardenas. No one else can
offer the ease of installation and programming with such rich graphics,
and the utility provides options that are "much more intricate than
square buttons and round buttons." In a separate announcement, it
was confirmed that Herman Cardenas will be visiting the CEDIA Expo
2006 this year and he will host a seminar for custom A/V installers
on Wednesday 21st June (10.00 -11.00am) which will provide an insight
into the future of IP-based Distributed Entertainment.
