ELAC Launches the 330.3 JET Third Generation Audiophile Loudspeaker (31/5/2006)

If you want to surround yourself with big music, not big speakers, you will be surprised to see what's new at the High End Show in Munich. The ELAC 330.3 JET is the third generation of this cult audiophile loudspeaker which has caused quite a sensation worldwide.

At only 28 cm in height and 19 cm in width (but weighing a substantial 10kg), this loudspeaker is suitable for both bookshelf and stand mounting. The 330.3 JET's sound so good they will send a shiver down your spine and make your ears tingle!

That's no surprise because ELAC has provided this diminutive loudspeaker with the same technology that has, until now, only been employed in their flagship loudspeaker.

This technology is centred around the new 180mm LLD mid/bass drive unit which incorporates the movement of a short-wound voice coil in a long air gap with a homogeneous magnetic field. This endows the ELAC 330.3 Jet with extremely linear driver movement, ensuring pure and punchy deep bass, a high maximum output level and precise sound even at high levels. Also incorporated is the JET III tweeter which, due to its exceptional transparency and smooth linear sound reproduction (all the way to 50kHz), has become one of the most legendary tweeters in the world of hifi.

With the ELAC 330.3 JET's beautiful extruded aluminium cabinet essentially wrapped around these two amazing drive units, there is effectively no front baffle and the sound is freed from any unwanted diffraction effects. This results in fantastic spatial depth, outstanding imaging and perfect instrumental localization in both small and larger rooms.

The ELAC 330.3 JET is completely manufactured by ELAC in Germany - an engineering achievement considered remarkable in the hifi world.
