AWE Takes on Flatline Acoustics USA Speaker Distribution (31/5/2006)

AWE has signed a distribution deal with Flatline Acoustics USA to offer this Stateside brand of in-ceiling speakers exclusively and for the first time to the UK custom installation trade.

The Flatline range from AWE features three key product categories. The RS Series offers superior sound quality and ease of installation, woven Kevlar mid / bass cones, swivel titanium tweeters, two piece baffles and stable tweeter mountings. Each speaker features crossovers that blend the sound spectrum seamlessly with high quality networks. Discrete switches on the front baffle allow fine tuning of the speakers, once installed where a switch on the rear switches from 4½ to 8 ½. A polyamide switch auto reset also protects the units from overload.

Flatline's LS Series provides a mainstream value for money solution. The Polypropylene mid / base cone generate excellent bass performance and smooth midrange for an overall balanced sound, whilst teterone tweeters provide excellent sound detailing. The LS series are also switchable between 4½ & 8½ making them a very versatile choice. Also in the AWE range is the CS 'Contractor Series', ideal for high volume developer-led projects. The mylar dome tweeter is based on a reliable and proven design, with the polypropylene mid / base cones giving durable and responsive performance.
