BADA Welcomes Leading Manufacturers to Demcraft Training
Programme (30/5/2006)
BADA, the British Audio Visual Dealers Association,
is pleased to announce that seven of the industry's most respected
manufacturers have agreed to participate in the delivery of the
already successful Demcraft training courses.
At a recent "train the trainer' session,
held in Amesbury, representatives from BADA Associate members, Arcam,
B&W, Denon, Meridian, Naim and PMC underwent the necessary training
to join The Chord Company as authorised Demcraft Trainers.
Over the next six months, each participating
company will initially host two training courses. As with the previous
courses (held until now at The Chord Company), they will primarily
be held at the Associate member's premises, but in addition, some
courses will be taken on the road and held in store, particularly
in instances where shop owners have decided to put their entire
staff through the training programme.
Demcraft is a one day course designed to
equip customer facing staff, from hi-fi and home theatre retailers,
with the necessary skills to make the demonstration the most powerful
selling tool in store. Recognising that these skills will be of
benefit to the industry as a whole, BADA have also taken the decision
to open the courses up to non-members in addition to members of
the Association. /É
Ian Anderson, Chairman of BADA, said "We
are very pleased that the management of the leading manufacturers
in the industry have recognised the importance of the Demcraft training
programme as a way of raising standards within the retail sector.
We warmly welcome them on board, thank them for their commitment
and look forward to putting many more candidates through Demcraft
for the good of the industry."
