News AMS Introduces Wireless Biometric Control (15/5/2006) For those of us that hate the constant struggle with keys, innovative West Midlands company AMS have the perfect solution - a range of wireless remotes called MicroLatch that are secured by your fingerprint. After all - your finger is the key! Designed for installation without the need for wiring - MicroLatch remotes come as flush mounted readers, external readers that can even be placed on glass patio doors - and also a range of remotes for attaching to your key-ring. The read range on the remotes is also quite staggering - 80 metres clear line of site and 30 metres in more built up conditions. This makes it ideal for handling front doors, garages, electric gates and any other device that can be electrically switched. The real attraction of the system is the simplicity with which they can be used - without the need for wiring, PC skills or lots of cables. The system works straight out of the box - and can be used to allow up to 30 persons to have access to property based simply on the touch of their finger. No more fumbling for keys - or concerns that they may have fallen into the wrong hands. The system is ideal for smart homes, housing communities and for small offices and businesses.
